If you have a Facebook, AIM, GChat, Windows Live, Skype, Yahoo!, Jabber, MySpace or ICQ account(s), then you will absolutely adore Nimbuzz. The application is not only great for talking to friends across social networks, but it’s free!

I think I looked at Nimbuzz a while back, but didn’t know why I’d want it. Well, after seeing a demo at Teens in Tech I decided to try it out, and I’m very glad I did.

I use Facebook, AIM, GChat, and Skype, so when I saw that Nimbuzz was capable of connecting me with all of those in a simple to use interface, I was very excited to say the least.

I have used and seen a few other apps that are good for the same general idea (on iPhone), but Nimbuzz has proven itself superior!

A few things that separate Nimbuzz from it’s competitors are the following:

Free VoIP calling (with Skype or many other services — or NimbuzzOut which is paid)

Send images/videos directly to most services

Location requests

Available for most phones

Mac/PC client also available

FREE!

Surprisingly, Nimbuzz is not only for your smartphone, it’s also for your desktop! Having the ability to communicate with multiple networks on a synced account is nothing far from brilliant.

I also love that Nimbuzz offers VoIP (NimbuzzOut) — or the use of other VoIP services. You can use:

Skype

SIP

Sipkom

IPS

Skytel Srbija

A1

BlasterPhone

Gizmo5

Global Telelinks

MWEB

Slipgate

TerraSip

Tpad

Voiceglobe

Vyke

Or any other VoIP account you want! Just type in your username, password, domain, and proxy!

All in all, I think Nimbuzz is an awesome app particularly for those of us who have too many accounts to keep track of and I can definitely see myself using it in the future!

Do you like Nimbuzz? What phone do you use it on? What VoIP service do you use? Let us know in the comments!

SimFlecks Rating: 10/10 — A must-have app for those of us who want to have everything in one place!

Download from iTunes (free).

Download for Mac | PC.
