One of Verizon’s few phones that was running Sense Ui should be getting the Android 2.1 update to all the owners. It’s a good sign for the rumor that it might even have been discontinued by Verizon. This device is one of the few devices available by HTC that will be running that latest and greatest from Google’s ventures. Not to mention that it beat Sprint’s version of the Hero to get 2.1 to sometime around second quarter. While there haven’t been many that have received it, it is being confirmed by Verizon’s twitter that it’ll be pushed out. Besides that, it’s looking good for the device. Give us your comments on the Ui after getting the update!

Saturday afternoon, reports came in that Verizon’s new Droid Incredible had already received its first OTA update. Not well known about it, it fixed some rebooting issues and radio bugs. After some time we came to know that it was a Microsoft Exchange update. So for those who have corporate handsets will likely be the ones to receive it, and those who do can expect their carbon-copy email fields to be fixed sometime around May 6th. Check out the statement below regarding the update!

–FlexDroid

It was discovered that customers using Exchange for corporate email may find when an email is opened that has no recipients in the CC field, unintended recipients email addresses can sometimes be added into the CC field from previously received emails when the user selects the reply all function. The update that is being pushed to customers is to correct that issue. THIS ONLY IMPACTS EXCHANGE Users (corporate users).

The Incredible isn’t even released but we’ve already got something to look at! It looks like the full, unabridged, seemingly final version of the phone’s user’s manual has just leaked, and while there aren’t any blockbuster revelations in here as far as we can tell, it confirms what we’ve long suspected: this is basically a CDMA Desire with an 8 megapixel camera. You’ve got the full Sense UI experience atop Android 2.1, a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display, 1GHz Snapdragon, and an optical joystick, a new trend out of HTC that looks destined to completely supplant the trackball, much as it has already done for RIM. Around back, we’ve got some confirmation that the Incredible is going to feature a contoured battery cover. Lets see what happens on April 25th!

So there’s a rather interesting thread going down over in Phandroid’s forums that suggests we’ll finally see a launch of the hotly anticipated HTC Incredible for Verizon on the 25th. I’m not surprised because this is a highly anticipated device and being it’s a Sunday, Verizon’s traditional launch day and it’s further corroborated by a corporate email sent around to Verizon employees today implying that “new devices [are] launching really soon.” There’s a lot of interpretation you could do here; we don’t know what “Code Name: 6″ on the rocket-propelled cardboard box means, for example, but it’s pretty safe to argue that the Incredible will factor prominently into this campaign. So, only a few weeks before it hits!

Who knows a retail event could be in the midsts? Sprint hogged the spotlight at CTIA regarding Android handsets, but I think it’s fair to say that Verizon is getting them. Would you?

So recently and finally the Tour has gotten the 5.0 OS upgrade. There was an announcement that users would have access to push-to-talk services this week. Indeed, Tour owners across the land are now being pushed BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.591 with improvements to Bluetooth, messaging, calling, and camera features, so even if you’re not into PTT, it seems like a decent download, especially considering that it’s available over the air.

There seems to be a screen shot from Verizon system that indicated that the upcoming CDMA version of the Nexus One will be “available only through www.Google.com/Phone.” This is similar to what Tmobile did with the Nexus and now Verizon is doing it so don’t line up at the store only to find out that could’ve ordered it from your bed. So those who are planning to buy this device, please don’t make the mistake of confusing for the HTC Incredible either cause this bad boy isn’t running Sense Ui.
