Our favorite barcode scanners for iPhone and Android
When you’re at a store and can’t find a price, what do you do? Why not just pull out your camera-enabled smartphone and get the price and other information instantly? We’ve compiled a list of a few awesome applications that will get you the information you need.
iPhone Scanners:
ShopSavvy – One of the best multi-purpose scanner apps for iPhone – books, food, etc. (Free)
RedLaser – Another great iPhone app that can search for multiple types of items. ($1.99)
FoodScanner – Although it only scans food, it doesn’t a great job of it! Must-have for constant grocery-shoppers. ($.99)
Android Scanners:
For Android, barcode scanners do more than find prices. They also can scan any barcode including on a computer or tv. The barcode it scans can also find various apps on the market for Android. All you have to do is scan the qr-code and it’ll find the app for you if it is still available on the market. For foods, it’ll take you too the browser to show you where you can find it and the price. So which apps are they? Check it out below. A simple search in the market should get you any of them!

Android 2.1 delayed for Droid owners
